Stay with a Kottayam family
Rose Retreat is a small, family-run homestay in Areeparambu, Kottayam, with two air-conditioned deluxe rooms and a separate cabin for drivers, set in a quiet green neighbourhood with a garden around the house.
Guests stay with us to rest between trips to Kumarakom, Vagamon, Alappuzha and Munnar, or simply to slow down for a few days. Mornings start with a home-cooked Kerala breakfast, the Wi-Fi is free, and there are bicycles for exploring the village roads.
We are happy to plan your day trips, drive you around, or arrange a photography session or a makeover for a special occasion.

Is there a place for my driver to stay?
Yes. The Driver Cabin is a separate room with its own bathroom, from ₹500 a night.
Can more than 4 people stay?
Yes. Each deluxe room has one bed that sleeps 2, so the two rooms sleep 4. For 5 or 6 guests we add extra beds, up to one in each room. The “Plan your stay” form adds them for you and shows the price. For bigger groups, message us.
Do the rooms have air conditioning and Wi-Fi?
Both deluxe rooms are air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi is free for all guests.
Is food available?
We serve a home-cooked Kerala breakfast. Ask us about other meals or using the kitchen when you book.
Can you arrange trips and transport?
Yes. We have rental cars, and Girish can drive you to Kumarakom, Vagamon, Alappuzha and other places nearby. Tell us where you would like to go and we will plan the day.
